There are two ways to use Liquid MagicSeal:
1. Universal Method
For DTF, Vinyl, White Toner Transfer, DTG, sublimation, and other printing processes.
2. Manual DTF Method
For DTF printing processes with manual powdering, or processes that allow pre-curing of the printed DTF sheet before applying DTF powder.
The Manual DTF Method saves time overall and reduces DTF powder usage. With less powder, the final product has a softer hand feel and better breathability, making it more comfortable to wear. Production time is also decreased because less powder means a shorter curing period is needed.
Important: Do not use too little powder. Fine or detailed prints may crack when stretched if the powder level is too low. Use enough powder to maintain strong adhesion and durability while still reducing excess powder where possible.
Universal Method Instructions
1. Image Printing and Transferring
Print your design using DTF, Sublimation, White Toner Transfer, Direct to Garment, Vinyl, or another textile printing method.
For DTF: Add DTF powder, cure, and heat press the transfer sheet onto the apparel with a protective sheet, such as Teflon.
For Other Printing Technologies: Print directly to the apparel, such as with DTG, or heat press the transfer sheet onto the apparel, such as with White Toner or Vinyl, with a protective sheet on top.
2. Apply Liquid MagicSeal
Mist Liquid MagicSeal onto the printed design on your apparel from about 10 inches away, ensuring light, even coverage. Use 2 to 3 sprays for larger designs, or 1 to 2 sprays for smaller ones.
3. Second Press
Heat press the apparel for 15 seconds with a protective sheet to seal and enhance durability.
Manual DTF Method Instructions
1. Pre-Cure the Transfer Sheet
Print your design onto DTF film as usual. Before applying powder, cure the printed film in a heat station or oven for 10 seconds at 285F.
2. Image Powdering and Curing
With the pre-cured DTF sheet, add powder and shake off the excess. Up to 40% less powder may remain, which helps reduce costs and improves the apparel's hand feel and breathability.
3. Cure the Powder
Cure the powdered DTF sheet for 35 seconds at 285F, compared to the standard 120 seconds.
4. Heat Press
Heat press the design onto the apparel for 20 seconds at 325F for cotton, or 275F for polyester/blends. Place a protective sheet, such as Teflon, above the transfer sheet while heat pressing. Peel away the transfer film to reveal your design.
5. Apply Liquid MagicSeal
Mist Liquid MagicSeal onto the printed design from about 10 inches away, ensuring light, even coverage. Use 2 to 3 sprays for larger designs, or 1 to 2 sprays for smaller ones.
6. Second Press
Heat press the apparel for 15 seconds with a protective sheet to seal and enhance durability.
Benefits:
Improved hand feel
Improved breathability
Enhanced durability
Up to 40% DTF powder savings with the Manual DTF Method
Up to 40% post-print production time savings with the Manual DTF Method
METHOD 1: Universal Method
METHOD 2: For manual-powdering DTF Processes only
