Recommended Temperature & Humidity for xTool DTF Printer:
Operating environment:
- Temperature: 15–25 °C (59–77 °F).
- Humidity: 50–70% relative humidity.
Why it matters: Maintaining stable temperature and humidity is critical for consistent print quality, reliable ink flow, and the longevity of your printer components. DTF printing relies on precise ink behavior and powder adhesion, both of which are highly sensitive to environmental conditions.
If values are too low:
- Temperature below 15 °C: Ink may thicken, leading to poor flow, nozzle clogging, and uneven prints. Adhesive powder may not melt or bond properly, reducing durability of transfers.
- Humidity below 50%: Air becomes too dry, increasing the risk of static electricity, clogged nozzles, and premature drying of ink inside the printer.
If values are too high:
- Temperature above 25 °C: Ink can become overly fluid, causing smudging, bleeding, or inconsistent color density. Heat may also stress internal components.
- Humidity above 70%: Excess moisture can cause powder clumping, film warping, and slower drying times, resulting in blurred or tacky prints.
Best practice: Keep your printer in a controlled environment within the recommended range. Use a hygrometer and thermometer to monitor conditions, and consider a dehumidifier or humidifier if your workspace fluctuates outside the safe zone.
