From a warranty standpoint, xTool does recommend and expect the use of their OEM inks. While using third-party ink does not automatically void the entire warranty, any issues that can be tied to ink (such as printhead performance, clogging, or ink system-related problems) may not be covered by xTool. Since most service-related issues on DTF systems are ink-related, this is an important consideration.
From a technical compatibility standpoint, most DTF inks on the market ( including our DTFLINE inks ) are formulated to be compatible with many/all Epson-based printheads. The xTool Apparel Printer uses the Epson i1600 printhead, which is a widely adopted platform across the industry.
We have extensive experience with this printhead, as our own systems (such as the Vantage II MAX and MAXI series) are built around the same Epson i1600 printheads. Our DTFLINE inks are specifically developed for these types of printheads, with proper particle size, viscosity, and flow characteristics designed for reliable operation.
So in summary:
Compatibility: Yes, DTFLINE DTF ink is designed to work with Epson i1600 printheads
Warranty: Use of non-OEM ink may impact warranty coverage if an issue is determined to be ink-related
