Q: Can I use MagicInk with other printers, including larger-format Canon or Epson printers?
Yes! MagicInk is not limited to the Canon PIXMA TS702 printer included in our MagicLine ONE starter bundles. Whether you want to reuse your existing MagicInk cartridges or choose a larger-format printer, you have two flexible options.
Option 1: Use Our MagicInk CLI-281 Cartridges with Other Canon Printers
Our MagicLine ONE Canon TS702 printer bundles include compatible CLI-281 cartridges prefilled with MagicInk.
These same cartridges can be used in other Canon printers that accept CLI-281 cartridges! This means you can upgrade to a larger-format Canon printer without needing to purchase a different type of MagicInk cartridge.
Here are examples of Canon printers that accept CLI-281 cartridges:
| Canon Printer Models | Maximum Supported Media Size |
|---|---|
| PIXMA TS702 / TS702a | 8.5" x 14" |
| PIXMA TS6120 / TS6220 / TS6320 | 8.5" x 14" |
| PIXMA TS8120 / TS8220 / TS8320 | 8.5" x 14" |
| PIXMA TS9120 | 8.5" x 14" |
| PIXMA TR7520 / TR8520 / TR8620 / TR8620a | 8.5" x 14" |
| PIXMA TS9520 / TS9520a | 11" x 17" or 12" x 12" |
| PIXMA TS9521C / TS9521Ca | 11" x 17" or 12" x 12" |
Looking for larger prints? The Canon PIXMA TS9520 and TS9521C families are particularly interesting options because they accept the CLI-281 cartridge family while supporting media up to 11" x 17".
Option 2: Use MagicInk Bulk Ink with Other Canon or Epson Printers
Want even greater flexibility or larger prints? MagicInk is also available in bulk ink bottles, allowing you to use it with a much broader selection of suitable Canon and Epson inkjet printers.
Unlike our prefilled CLI-281 cartridges, bulk MagicInk is not limited to a particular cartridge model. You simply need to obtain the appropriate refillable cartridges or refillable ink system for your chosen printer.
IMPORTANT: MagicInk is available in two different formulations. Select the correct formulation for your printer:
- MagicInk for CANON: For compatible Canon inkjet printers.
- MagicInk for EPSON: For compatible Epson inkjet printers.
The Canon and Epson MagicInk formulations are different and are NOT interchangeable.
How Do I Use MagicInk Bulk Ink?
- Choose your printer: Select a suitable Canon or Epson inkjet printer that supports your desired print dimensions.
- Obtain compatible refillable cartridges: Make sure the cartridges or refillable ink system are designed for your specific printer model.
- Select the correct MagicInk formulation: Choose MagicInk for CANON or MagicInk for EPSON, depending on your printer.
- Fill and install: Fill your compatible cartridges with MagicInk and configure the printer for your MagicLine ONE HTF printing workflow.
With an appropriate printer and ink configuration, this approach opens up a much wider range of printer options, including models that support 11" x 17", 13" x 19", and potentially even larger print sizes.
Why Do We Include the Canon TS702 in Our Printer Bundles?
We selected the Canon PIXMA TS702 because it is an affordable, compact, entry-level printer that makes getting started with MagicLine ONE HTF printing simple and convenient.
Our bundles include compatible cartridges prefilled with MagicInk, so you don't need to worry about sourcing and filling your own cartridges.
But you're not limited to this printer! If you need larger prints or already own a suitable Canon or Epson printer, you can purchase MagicInk cartridges or bulk ink separately and build a printing setup that better fits your needs.

- Shop MagicInk Cartridges & Bulk Ink – Prefilled cartridges and bulk ink formulations for Canon and Epson printers.
Compatibility Note: Not every Canon or Epson printer is necessarily suitable for MagicInk. Your printer must support an appropriate refillable cartridge or ink delivery system, and its printhead and configuration must be suitable for the selected MagicInk formulation. Physical cartridge compatibility alone does not guarantee performance. Maximum printable image dimensions may also be smaller than the maximum supported media size.
