The terms F1080 and XP600 can be confusing because they are closely related. Epson F1080 is the actual printhead model number, and it is used inside the Epson XP600 printer (as well as some other Epson printers).
So is it an XP600 printhead or an F1080 printhead?
Technically, it is always an Epson F1080 printhead. The XP600 is simply a printer model that uses the F1080 printhead.
In original Epson XP600 desktop printers, the F1080 printhead is designed for cartridge-based ink delivery. The printhead has a manifold that accepts Epson ink cartridges.
In specialty printers such as DTF, UV, or UV-DTF printers, ink is usually supplied from external tanks through tubes, and the printhead must accept dampers instead of cartridges.
The F1080 printhead we sell includes the DAMPER MANIFOLD, so it is ready to use in our DTF, UV, and UV-DTF printers that utilize the F1080 printhead and that use a tank/tube-based ink system, without needing any additional manifold conversion.
